Hardware vs software

you think it really makes a difference? people swear that you can't emulate an MPC's "pop" using software and I kind of agree to an extent but with proper EQ and mixing you can get things sounds pretty much however you want

I don't think it makes a difference at all....I have dedicated my life to producing music..and in the 17 years i have been doing music i have met and bumped into alot of producers from different locations and upbringings...who all use different pieces of gear some use hardware and some computers....but they all made dope music

I am a believer in "its not what you have to make music...but how you use what you do have to make music" if its good music its good music regardless of what it was made with

words of wisdom @Prof. sometimes people get too caught up in the "what did you use to make this?" and don't even realize how much is possible with so very little . Honestly when I heard fly lo made almost all of his beat using Reason up to Cosmogramma I was floored cause I didn't think some of the sounds I was hearing were even possible to make in Reason. Definitely proves its the person's brain that's the most important piece of hardware of all haha

word. I feel like you could give Fly lo just about any piece of software and he'd make something stellar on it.

True. Apparently hes on logic now so it will be cool to see how his production changes, if it all.
